Grader
The DOWNS DG potato grader has been designed to receive, clean, grade and inspect different kind of crops.
Thanks to a modular construction tested on thousands of machines over the last few decades, the DOWNS potato grader can be totally personalized to be compatible with every agricultural and industrial structures.
The DOWNS receiving hoppers are fitted with the latest technologies in terms of grading with a wide range of modules : smooth rollers, coils, polyurethane coils, stars, DOWNS ULTRA, etc. and of clod separators : single or double for a grading adjusted to every kind of soil.
Fieldloader
The DOWNS DFL potato fieldloader has been designed to receive, clean, grade, inspect and load different products directly from the fields.
Thanks to a modular construction tested on thousands of machines over the last few decades, the DOWNS potato field loader can be totally personalized to be compatible with every agricultural and industrial structures.
The DOWNS fieldloader are fitted with the latest technologies in terms of grading with a wide range of modules: smooth rollers, coils, polyurethane coils, stars, DOWNS ULTRA, etc. and of clod separators: single or double for a grading adjusted to every kind of soil.
The loading of the trailer in the field is quick thanks to an integrated telescopic store loader for a high work output.
POTATO CROP CART GEO DTX-18
The DOWNS potato crop cart is a versatile solution able to be used in 2 configurations:
Configuration 1- Crop cart mode : The DOWNS GEO DTX-18 is linked to the tractor and follow the potato harvester in order to optimize the soil elimination. Once the hopper is full, the operator is easily able to directly load a truck or to go for an efficient cleaning solution before the loading thanks to a patentes by-pass system.
Configuration 2 – Fieldloader mode : The DOWNS GEO DTX-18 is located in the field in a fix position. From this place, trailers will tip into it for loading in truck or to fill up potato box fillers.
The potato crop cart DOWNS GEO DTX-18 is a performant, innovative and versatile solution to clean and load potatoes, carrots and vegetable in the field.
This versatile solution is also very useful to clean and fill potato box directly in the field. So potato boxes are free of soil.
Conveyor duo essential
The DOWNS DC double potato conveyor has been designed to make the inspection and the conveying of the product easier, while respecting it thanks to two telescopic conveyors.
Based on a robust frame with adjustable height, the V-shaped conveyors allow to transport until 100 tons of product at low speed to reduce the risks of damage. This double potato conveyor is easy to handle thanks to 10 pivoting wheels, 4 of them are fitted with brakes, for a quick moving. Easy to use, this conveyor is fitted with manual lifting system and in option with hydraulic lifting system and electric opening/closing system for a comfortable work.
POTATO INSTORE CONVEYOR PREMIUM
The Premium potato instore conveyor duo is one of the product offered in the DOWNS Premium range. This range is dedicated to users looking for efficient solutions in intensive conditions of use.
The standard premium potato conveyor Duo Premium is equipped with an electric opening/closing of the conveyors as well as a belt of 0.85 m wide with one face in PVC so that the soil does not stick to the belt. The other face is made of rubber for a higher resistance.
The design of this Duo Premium double conveyors makes it possible to perfectly adapt it to any user’s needs.
POTATO STORE LOADER
The Premium DT potato store loader is available in 14 m, 18 m or 22 m long and it is perfectly adapted to work at high speed.
This new potato store loader stands out from competition thanks to a frame with short and robust undercarriage. This particular construction allows a large clear space of the elevator and can support a significant workload. The new design in “V” of the band and its driving by an electric drum motor located on the top end of the store loader (no risk of oil leak on the heap) make it possible to maximize constantly the working speed.
The working speed can reach 80 to 100 tons/hour while preserving the quality of the tubers. The rotation of these store loaders is carried out thanks to a powerful hydraulic motor (gear wheel) for a smooth and comfortable work. Ergonomics has also been improved thanks to the Magelis touchscreen allowing a very easy and intuitive use of the machine.
The different working modes, manual or automatic, are now reachable in a few seconds.
BOX FILLER
POTATO BIG BAG AND BOX FILLER
The DF Mixte is an automatic potato big bag and box filler for potatoes and onions able to fill any kind of big bag and box.
Designed to respect the product, the DF Mixte is equipped with two wide vertical transfer conveyors limiting the height of drop in the big bag or box. This way, the boxes and big bags are uniformly filled and the product is completely respected.
POTATO BIG BAG FILLER
Designed to respect the product, the box filler is different thanks to the low working speed of the conveyor dropping gently the product in the box.
This way, the boxes are uniformly filled and the product is handled with care and gentleness.
POTATO BOX FILLER BOXER
The DOWNS potato box filler BOXER an automatic double box fillers for potatoes and onions able to fill any kind of box. The potato box filler DF Boxer makes it possible to reach a work output of 50 boxes/hour to save time and increase efficiency during the storage.
POTATO BOX FILLER DBF
The automatic potato box filler DBF is able to fill any kind of box.
Designed to respect the product, the potato box filler DBF is equipped with two hydraulically adjustable heads, to limit the height of drop in the box. This way, the boxes are uniformly filled and the product is completely respected.
POTATO BOX TIPPER VF240
The DOWNS VF 240 frontal box tipper has been robustly designed in order to be used in intensive conditions and with important loads. To make sure of the reliability and longevity of this equipment, its components have been tested with load and resistance tests.
POTATO BOX TIPPER BOXMASTER
The BOXMASTER box tipper allows a simple and efficient tipping of potato boxes. Installed mainly in front of a receiving hopper, this box tipper is very easy to move.
POTATO BOX TIPPER ROTATO
The ROTATO box tipper is known for its DOWNS patented system, you have a complete control of the height of drop for a qualitative work and high respect of the product.
POTATO EVEN FLOW HOPPER
DOWNS offers a broad range of potato even flow hopper. This kind of hopper is used with a box tipper.
The great storage capacity makes it possible to get a more fluid inflow of product while keeping the output steady thanks to the flow automatic control.

SPECIFIC PRODUCTS
POTATO SEED CUTTER
The DOWNS potato seed cutter allows to cut seed potatoes before planting them.
This hot knife potato seed cutter has firstly been designed to hygienically cut the seeds. The seeds are free of germs thanks to knives heat up to 350°. The heat eliminates pathogens and guarantees sterilized seeds for an irreproachable quality.
The accuracy of the cut has also been loosely studied in order to guarantee a cut into two similar parts. High-temperature-resistant conical rollers make sure that the seed are in the right position in front of the heating knives.
POTATO PICKING TABLE
DOWNS offers a wide range of potato picking tables with different heights, widths and with or without seats.
The potato picking table is an efficient solution to check potatoes at 360° view.
This potato picking table can be fitted with rollers or belt and used as an independant solution or used in combination with the grader.
POTATO DRY BRUSHER
The DOWNS potato dry brusher has been designed to brush the potatoes at high speed after the harvest.
The wide range of brush and bristle makes it possible to personalize the brusher in order to adapt it to any work conditions for a qualitative handling of the potatoes without any damage on their peel.
The robust design of the DOWNS potato dry brusher and a lubricated gears system allow an efficient work while reducing the maintenance costs.
